Who?

I'm obsessed with flavours.

That's about all you need to know about the reasons why I started writing a blog about coffee. I like complex, intricate tastes; I like bold, assertive characteristics; I like delicate you-almost-can't-taste-it flavours.

With coffee, I certainly have my favourites, and my least favourites (instant coffee, I'm looking at you). And people know I like coffee, so they've been wonderfully and generously giving me coffees whenever they've gone anywhere exciting, for example Uganda, India or the supermarket.

Because I forget so easily, the easiest way is to write these things down. I've done a lot of wine tasting and whisky tasting over the years, so I thought I'd take a similar approach to them.

Apart from coffee, I like anything with a good flavour. Italian, Japanese, Chinese foods especially; I love it when a culture has embedded in it a passion for eating well and savouring the many flavours that we've been given.

It's amazing how just thinking a little about what you're drinking can make a difference - so enjoy the reviews, and taste some coffee yourself!
